Kentucky Transportation Hall of Fame Inductees Announced
Lexington – January 20, 2012 – The Kentucky Transportation Hall of Fame Inductees were announced today at the closing luncheon of the Kentuckians for Better Transportation Conference held at the Lexington Convention Center.
Patsy Anderson, A. Russell Romine and R. Leon Walden (posthumously) were announced as the 2011 inductees. They were selected as individuals “who, by their foresight, dedication, leadership, perseverance, and integrity, have significantly enhanced transportation system in the Commonwealth.”
The Hall of Fame was established by the Kentucky Transportation Center in 1990. Each year a selection committee composed of key Kentucky transportation stakeholders requests nominations from across the state and choose one or more recipients from those nominations.
