Basis of Course
The amendment of KRS217B by the 2000 Kentucky General Assembly requires that any public employee that handles or applies pesticides on rights-of-ways be required to have a non-commercial applicators license. To obtain this license, employees will be required to take a written test administered by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.

What We Offer
We offer workshops for employees that are required to have an applicators license for Category 6. Each training session will be approximately 5 hours in length, followed by testing administered by the Department of Agriculture.

Who Should Attend
This class is for any public employee that handles or applies pesticides on rights- of-ways.

Registration and Fee
The registration fee is $100 per person. This fee includes training and testing. If an applicant should fail the written exam, one retest will be offered at no charge. This fee also includes breaks, lunch, and materials. State employees wishing to register need to contact their District Training Coordinator. All others may register online (click dates below), by phone (859-257-4513 x232), or by fax (859-257-1061). Please register early since class size is limited.
